WE ARE YOUR
CONNECTION
To us, Todos Santos, Mexico is Sergio and Bryan Jauregi. We began visiting Los Colibris Casistas a decade ago. They are two of the most welcoming hosts you will ever meet and we are proud to call them our friends. When our journey is over, you'll do the same. Both of them, along with every member of their team will see to it that your adventure is just right for you, whether that's packing a lunch to sit on the beach or climbing the regions tallest mountain!
As The Walking Connection begins to rollout our plans for our 2021, we chose this adventure because of how closely they work with Jo Ann to carefully plan a safe and fun adventure that features outdoor meals, socially distanced walks and hikes and accommodations that meet and exceed all the safety standards and best practices required in today's world.

Level of Comfort
The sleeping accommodations on this journey are very comfortable and always with lots of personality. Although star ratings are not particularly helpful when it comes to small boutique casitas and luxury tents on the beqch, you will feel pampered with a front row view of both the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean!
Though you are travelling essentially the width of Baja California Sur over the course of this breakway, the weather will be similar from day to day. We expect to have fine weather that will be basically dry.
Temperatures should be around 80° -85°f (25°- 30°c) during the day, with pleasant evenings at 60° - 65°f (15°- 20°c)
All meals and activities are in the great outdoors in wide open spaces with plenty of room for social distancing.
We will be following the Adventure Travel COVID-19 Health & Safety Guidelines using international industry standards, public resources from the CDC, WHO, governments and tour operators.

THIS is Glamping
Ever since the Walking Connection's first trip to Kenya 25 years ago we have loved glamping! On our return from Africa, we sought out other unique locations where we could connect deeply to stunning nature in an authentic way.
Glamping is where being in the great outdoors meets modern luxury. It's where you can have a deeper engagement with your surroundings and still enjoy the comforts of home, sleeping beneath a blanket of stars.
With high style under canvas, think of it as glamorous camping. Beautifully decorated walk-in tents with fine linens on real beds and colorful rugs underfoot - this will be your personal space to escape the ordinary.
Day-By-Day
Please note that the details of this itinerary are subject to change. Many of the planned activities are organized according to availability, events or seasonal dates, appropriate weather conditions or the discretion of our guides. We make every effort to provide the experience described in the itinerary with the understanding that some things may change.

After breakfast we will travel about 90 minutes to this special reserve of Baja California Sur. We will be heading to Camp Cecil de la Sierra, a luxury tented camp in a shady mango and grapefruit grove.
This exclusive camp (only 4 luxury tents) is on the property of a local ranching family, and highlights both the cultural and natural heritage of the Sierras. The family is an integral part of the experience, providing all the meat, cheese and tortillas for the camp, teaching guests how to make tortillas and cheese in the traditional manner, and acting as guides in the reserve.
Day 6 - Optional Extension
Discover the diversity of Baja

Early risers may start the day with some birding around camp as the sun rises over the mountains. After an amazing ranch breakfast, we'll set the plan for the day.
Activities include beautiful hikes in the reserve with spectacular views, swimming in watering holes and picnicking by waterfalls. Or if you prefer hang out in the shade of the mango trees and enjoy the books in the library, perhaps while sipping a margarita!
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Glamping Accommodation: Camp Cecil de la Sierra - Night 2 of 2
The Sierra La Laguna Biosphere Reserve is one of Baja´s most beautiful but least explored areas. Part of an island off the coast of Baja 10 million years ago, the Reserve is one of the most bio diverse areas in the world. Reflecting it's long history of island isolation, almost 25% of plants and 10% of animals found in the Reserve are endemic to the area, i.e, they are not found anywhere else on the planet.
Activities at the camp include beautiful hikes in the reserve, with opportunities to get terrific views of the Pacific ocean, swim in watering holes and picnic by waterfalls. There is fantastic birding in the early mornings, amazing star gazing at night, and plenty of opportunities to interact with the ranch family and work with them making cheese, tortillas and other products in the traditional manner.
