The Walking Connection - iConquer & Education For All (EFA)

EFA has been at the top of our minds since Jo Ann Taylor met some of the co-founders, leaders and students several years ago during a trip to Morocco. Since that time, we have been researching, listening and learning more not just about the program, but about life in Morocco on the whole.

Since the beginning of our business we have operated on "Leave no trace" principles that list among other things to "Take Only Pictures, Leave Only Footprints." While we have mostly followed that concept, our experience is that the indigenous peoples in the local areas that support our tourist based operations are also working to make life better for themselves. It is through them that we are able to say we had an "Authentic Experience." It is a because of them that we can access their most remote areas because they are willing to share access to the place where they live. It seems only fair that we could go a bit beyond and help them if are able.

So the time has come for us to leave more than footprints...!

Soon, EFANorthAmerica.Org will be live! We are building a new non-profit enterprise that will benefit EFAMorocco and the Girls of Asni! We are working closely with Mike McHugo and his UK and Moroccan teams to organize a fundraising and awareness platform and campaign in North America. Our mission is 1) To create sustainable, long term financial support to the existing houses of EFA. 2) To seek out new resources and ways to improve the quality of the lives of the girls who live with EFA.

If you are interested in coordinating with us to make a donation to EFA, or if you are interesting in helping us build this program, YOU'RE INVITED! Please email or text Gene or JoAnn, and lets talk. We will need help in every imaginable way, so please reach out TODAY!

Soon we will be offering a fundraising trek to the Summit of Mt. Toubkal or the Kasbah du Toubkal Trekking Lodge and more!
