The San Francisco Labor Day Women's Only
Walking Weekend -- 2008! This is one of our
favorite cities in the world. There is so much to see and do,
and most of it is within walking distance or a short bus or
taxi ride of Union Square. There is easily more to do than you
can fit into a "long weekend," so we have tried to give you
a taste of the city and still leave you with enough free time
to experience and see things on your own.
Start Your Weekend with a special San
Francisco Gourmet Chocolate Tour! A guided walking
and tasting tour of select San Francisco gourmet chocolate boutiques
while walking through historic downtown learning about the city's
colorful past. Then relax in our beautiful newly renovated deluxe
hotel, two blocks from Union Square while tasting complimentary
wine in the quaint lobby and enjoy a foot massage in the Walking
Connection suite.
An optional early morning walk to the Farmers'
Market starts the next day. Mingle with the locals and surround
yourself with the aroma of home baked breads and the glorious
colors of fresh cut flowers. Then we will head for an exhilarating
walk across the Golden Gate Bridge with beautiful distant views
of the city's skyline across the bay. Then we are off to Haight
Ashbury to saunter along and learn about the famous neighborhood
of the 60's and it's "hippy history." Return to the
hotel for your complimentary foot massage and wine tasting.
Sunday
venture out and explore the Bay City! Ride on
the world famous cable cars or tour the Napa Valley wine country.
Take the MUNI to Golden Gate Park or visit one of the many museums
or gardens. Or take a ferry ride for a walk on Angel Island.

Monday is our Grand Finale!
Bid farewell to the Bay with one last walk along the plunging,
gray-green cliffs of Land's End high above the sea. Then spin
the weekend's adventures into memories as we celebrate a great
time with new friends as we enjoy a cup of coffee at the famous
Cliff House. One last relaxing walk along Ocean Beach with the
water lapping at our feet.
