Your Guided Walking and Hiking
Adventure at Grand Canyon
April 25 - 28, 2008
October 17 - 20, 2008

Trip Highlights
Find inspiration in the chiseled vastness
of the Grand Canyon - a brilliant palette of natural color and
geological artistry to inspire our walking adventure.
Beneath an expanse of clear-blue sky, we follow routes winding
through red sandstone monoliths, skirting canyon rims, and venturing
into tranquil Ponderosa Pine forest.
Spectacular views surround us everywhere we
wander—from sunrise to sunset over the canyon. Be
dazzled in every direction by the ever-changing orange, amber and
red sandstone glow. Fascinating desert wildlife discoveries await
along the trail. We may see majestic Condors on the wing as we wander
among the unique flora, including a variety of cactus.
These adventures are three nights and four
days in Arizona and Grand Canyon National Park. Your trip
begins in The Valley of The Sun (Phoenix). You'll travel north through
the majestic Sonoran Desert to the Aspen and Ponderosa Pine forests
of Northern Arizona. Here you can visit and walk through one of
Arizona's hidden jewels, Walnut Canyon! Then we're off to the high
desert plauteaus and one of the greatest natural wonders of the
world - Grand Canyon. Experience one entire day at the Canyon as
few people ever do, with a Grand Canyon expert guides! They will
bring the canyon in to an even clearer perspective by sharing their
knowledge of history, geology, flora and fauna.
In true Walking Connection style, our carefully
planned hikes are geared to people of all interests and abilities
-- go at your own pace. We'll work closely with you far
in advance of your trip to help you select and prepare for just
the right hike for you and our small group.
Enjoy another full day at your leisure to explore
more of the park on your own, take an exciting helicopter ride,
go horseback riding or take a 1/2 day float on the Colorado River.
You'll stay at a newly renovated lodge inside the park and enjoy
meals and the time spent with fellow explorers.
