While
at the lodge you will be provided with the following:

Sturdy,
leather hiking boots (unusual and small children sizes
are not always available, please call to discuss)

Insulated,
hooded hiking jacket (wind and rain resistant)

Wind
pants and a rain poncho

Gaiters
(which fit over your boots to protect from snow)
-
Day
pack, water bottle and walking stick (If you have your
own collapsable hiking stick you might prefer that so
that you can put it in your day pack when not needed)

Each
lodge has whirlpool, sauna, massage, full service bar,
washer, dryer, hair dryers, retail shop.

Reservations
for this trip are available on a limited basis and are only
available on a first come first served basis. Should this
trip completely sell out, please see our waiting list policy
below.
Tour
Prices per person, Double Occupancy:
Guest
Pricing: Three night adventure: $2565 CAD per person, Six
night adventure: $4830 CAD (based upon double occupancy).
Single option, youth and children pricing available.
Current exchange rate to US dollars will be calculated when
final payment is made. Prices are exclusive of airfare and
HST. Reservations Subject to Cancellation Policy.
Deposits:
A deposit of $500 USD is required to reserve your space.
No space will be held without a complete deposit.
Deposits can be made by check or click
here to register online with your credit
card. Our tour prices are subject to change due to currency
fluctuation.
Payments:
All payments must be made according to the schedule &
are subject to the cancellation & penalty policy. Final
payment is due on or before 60 days prior to your departure.
We request that all final payments be made by check.
Not
Included: The price of this tour does not include
HST, Airfare, airport transfer to Banff, and gratuities
for the walking guides, optional tours or items of a personal
nature such as drinks, photographs & phone calls. We
do recommend flying in and out of Calgary Airport.
No discounts or refunds on any unused portion of the tour.
Cancellation,
Penalty & Refund Policies: Should you have
to cancel your tour the following terms will apply:
All cancellation requests will incur a $50 per person administrative
fee.
For cancellations 90 days prior to departure, 25% of the
trip price is non-refundable.
For cancellations 60-89 days prior to departure, 75% of
the trip price is non-refundable.
For cancellations 0-59 days prior to departure and no shows,
no refunds will be made.
No refunds will be made for any unused portion of the tour.
All cancellations
must be made in writing and delivered to The Walking Connection
via e-mail and/or United States Post Office. Your cancellation
date is the date your notice is received and confirmed by
The Walking Connection, not the postmark date.
Tour
Minimum: This tour must have a minimum of 10 guests
traveling together for this trip to be escorted by a Walking
Connection host. Otherwise, the trip will operate utilizing
local guides in Banff contracted by The Walking Connection.
Or a small group surcharge may be imposed.
Tour
Maximum: In general, The Walking Connection limits
its trips to 20 paying guests. However, CMH lodges typically
hold a larger number of guests and it is possible they will
heli-hike with our group.
Waiting
List Policy: On occasion, Walking Connection tours
sell out and a waiting list is formed. If this should happen,
the following policy will apply: To be put on the waiting
list, a fully refundable deposit is due with reservation.
If space becomes available, you will be notified at that
time and if you choose to go, the standard cancellation
policy will then apply. If not, your money will be refunded
in full.
Travel
Roommates and Single Supplements: If you have registered
for double occupancy but do not have a travel roommate,
the Walking Connection will attempt to locate one for you.
In the event that a roommate cannot be found, you may be
charged for a Single Supplement for any portion of the tour
where you will be rooming as a single. Travel roommates
are assigned in the order in which we receive deposited
and confirmed reservations. Final roommate assignments will
be made and you will be notified of any Single Supplement
charges due 30 days prior to your final payment due date.

I am aware that Walking Connection tours (whether in civilized
or remote areas) encompass travel by foot, boat, plane,
automobile, motor coach, horseback, or the like. I am further
aware that the activities planned such as but not limited
to trekking, hiking, boating and animal viewing, contain
inherent risks of injury, emotional trauma and illness such
as but not limited to malaria. I recognize that such risks
may be present at any time before, during and after the
trip I am participating in with The Walking Connection.
I am also aware that adequate medical services or facilities
may not be readily available or accessible during some or
all of the time and that evacuation if necessary can be
prolonged, difficult and expensive. In consideration of,
and as part payment for the right to participate in, and
by registering for any Walking Connection tour now or in
the future, I have and do hereby fully assume all risk of
injury, property damage, emotional trauma and death, and
it is my intention for me and my heirs, executors and administrators
to waive any and all right and claims for damages I may
have against Gene and Jo Ann Taylor, Taylor Marketing and
Management, LLC., The Walking Connection and any individual
associated with these event/tour, their representatives,
successors, and assignees, and will hold them harmless for
any and all injuries, mishaps and loss of property suffered
in connection with my participation in this event/tour.
I have been warned that I must be in good health to participate
in this event and I also give permission for the free use
of my name, likeness, picture and any opinion expressed
by me in any advertisement, newsletter, broadcast, telecast
or print media account of this event without any compensation
to me whatsoever.
