Itinerary
Optional Extensions Will Be Offered!
This journey commences and finishes in Johannesburg, South
Africa, where you will be
met by a representative and transferred to your hotel in
the suburb of Melrose and meet Gene and Jo Ann Taylor. There
is a return private transfer back to the airport the next
morning and you will fly to Maun, Botswana and connect by
light aircraft to your first camp, and onward from the Okavango
Delta. At the end of the safari, you will fly back to Maun
and then Johannesburg connecting with your onward flight
home. Optional extensions will also be offered.

- Depart home on your International flight to Johannesburg,
South Africa

June – Johannesburg
Arrive in Johannesburg where you will be met on arrival
and transferred by private vehicle to the 5 star African
Pride Melrose Arch Hotel in a private commercial precinct
north of the city. The day is at leisure to relax and wander
around the complex with its stores, boutiques and cafes
with dinner at your own arrangements.

+ 9 June – Savute
Morning transfer back to Johannesburg airport to board your
flight to Maun, (This was changed
to Kasane) Botswana where you will be met and assisted
to your light aircraft flight to Savute Safari Lodge,a luxury
lodge in the Savute channel inside Chobe National Park.
Your timber glassand thatch chalet has a private viewing
deck and you will enjoy two days of game viewing activities
in search of the “big cats” with your fellow
travelers and camp guide.

+ 11 June – Moremi
Morning light aircraft flight to Camp Moremi, situated in
the Moremi Wildlife
Reserve. Your luxury tent sits on a wooden platform with
private bathroom. The main
tree house overlooking the Xakanaka lagoon houses the dining
area, the lookout bar,
library and lounge. Enjoy two days of escorted game viewing
by open safari vehicles
or on foot with your camp guide.

+ 13 + 14 June - Okavango
An early morning game drive, return for breakfast transfer
by light aircraft to Camp
Okavango, built on an island deep in the heart of the Okavango
Delta. Camp
Okavango offers very similar luxury tented facilities as
Camp Moremi. Three days of
fully escorted game viewing by canoe or motor boat or tracking
wildlife on foot on a nearby island. Fishing is also an
available optional activity.

June – Departure
A final early morning of game viewing activity. Breakfast
and return flight to Maun
where you will connect with your flight to Johannesburg.

Special
Notes:
Guides
are “fixed” at each respective camp and guests
fly on small aircraft between camps.
Breakfast,
lunch and dinner together with beers, wines and soft drinks
are included (supplement applies for bottle water, premium
wines & spirits).
Laundry
is available so you don't need to bring lots of luggage.
Apart
from staff gratuities and a minimal selection of items from
the camp shop, there is really no need to carry too much
cash.
These
camps don't have cellular telephone or Wi-Fi connectivity.
