"We are
proud that Walking Connection subscribers come from more than 25
countries around the world! We
are bound together by our interests and like-minded attitudes. No
matter the culture, the country of origin or religion, we are all
far more similar than different."

Taylor, Founder
These
images are from the Walking Connection's July 4, 2002 New York City
Walking Weekend. During this time
we walked and visited some of New York City's most famous landmarks
including "Ground Zero," now known to New Yorkers as "The
Pit!" Two Blocks from the site is St.
Paul's Chapel, the site of a spontaneous
memorial dedicated to those who lost their lives and a tribute to
their families and loved ones. Every day thousands of people visit
this site. So we thought it would be appropriate to bring a bit
of it to you, where ever you live, in honor, respect and remembrance
of all those who's lives lost that day.

Hello
Walking Connection!
As the WORLD
continues to react to terrorism on America's shores, each of us
is affected emotionally and physically by the current events --
shock, stress, tension, high emotions and grief.
Never
before has time seemed so precious.
Now is the time for
us look back at the events of Sept. 11, 2001 and remember the people
who died in the horrific tragedies of that day. We
will never forget. In their
memory we celebrate life. In their memory we will celebrate freedom.
In the name of freedom we continue to try to return to some sense
of normalcy by reclaiming our daily lives. And as part of this reclamation
we must continue to go for our daily walks, hike the beautiful trails
of the world and travel to the places we want to experience, where
ever they may be...all without fear.
The
Walking Connection has subscribers JUST LIKE YOU from all over the
world, 25 countries by our last count. We
are bound together by our interests and like-minded attitudes. No
matter the culture, the country of origin or religion, we are all
far more similar than different.
We will continue our
Walking Connection mission statement, written in 1989: To
provide ALL kinds of people a vehicle to enhance healthy living
and lead a POSITIVE & HAPPY LIFESTYLE.
Because we have grown
to have such an incredibly diverse background of subscribers worldwide,
we look forward to inviting even more people to join our CONNECTION
OF FRIENDS. The Walking Connection will continue to WALK the world,
meet it's people, share experiences and make new friends along the
way. And, as always, we hope you will "Come Walk With Us!"
Our thoughts and prayers continue...God Bless Us All!
